Quinta Do Lago Golf Resort
Quinta do Lago is one of the Algarve's largest golf destinations and its courses are among Europe's top 25. The resort has hosted eight Portuguese Opens and continues to be the venue for national and international tournaments. To play golf at Quinta do Lago is a joy for visitors and maybe more a way of life for the ones who decide to become members of this exclusive community.
In keeping with its heritage, Golf at Quinta do Lago enjoys the full spectrum of nature's beauty. Each course has been designed in harmony with its environment and successfully crafted to take their position amongst the Top 25 rated golf courses in all of Europe. It has played host to several Portuguese Opens and continues to be a venue of choice for national and international competitions. All courses enjoy first class driving ranges, a golf academy, putting greens, pro-shops and clubhouses with large and informal terraces - the perfect setting to relax with friends and family, to toast the victor or, console the vanquished. Natural water features are sprinkled throughout and bunkers break the landscape almost as a constant reminder, to golfers of all experience and ability, of the great challenge that lies ahead.
Complementing Quinta do Lago's existing facilities and completing its offering is Laranjal, host to the 2010 FT Business Championship Grand Finals.
Originally an orange grove, Laranjal has been nurtured by time, sculpted by nature and expertly designed to provide a world class golfing experience.
Laranjal is today a beautiful and totally different golf experience. It is a sanctuary for those seeking the finest in golf and personalised service. Its narrow fairways and well defined greens require concentration and accuracy to navigate this testing route laid out on a rolling and distinctive terrain. It is a par 72, 6,480 meters, with five par 5s, eight par 4s, five par 3s set amongst umbrella pines, cork-oaks and orange trees with a natural water course and 5 beautiful lakes.
