Designed by Nick Faldo, the Oceânico Faldo Course is a Par 72 Championship course set in the stunning hillsides of Amendoeira (just outside Vilamoura). The course is designed with strategic play in mind and provides a good test of golf to Professionals and occasional golfers alike. Rocky outcrops, meandering watercourses and views to the distant mountains and orange groves define its essential character.

Schedule

The Grand Finals take place from Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 October 2009.  

Finalists will leave the UK on Sunday 18 October and flights will be provided by Monarch Airlines from select UK Airports.

Round One of the Championship will commence on Monday 19 October.

The Final Round of the Championship will take place on Tuesday 20 October and the 2009 Champions will be crowned at the Gala Dinner the same evening.

Championship Ambassador and two time Ryder Cup star David Howell will be present at the Grand Finals, making it an unforgettable experience for the 12 lucky teams who qualify for this once in a lifetime trip.  In addition, the Grand Finals will be televised by Setanta Sports.

All finalists will travel home on Wednesday 21 October.

The Financial Times Business Championship Grand Finals took place from 18th - 21st October at the Oceânico Faldo Course, part of the luxury Amendoeira Golf Resort in the Algarve.
